New dressmaking classes coming back in November 2021
After 4 years of absence, we’ve finally decided to bring our much-loved dressmaking classes back to life, starting by two complementary courses – one focused on garment construction, and one on alterations.
We offer 5 classes for £150 and 10 classes for £250, in a socially-distanced environment. Our class capacity of 8 people per course allows us to fully adapt to your level and provide constant feedback.
About the classes:
Corsets, frilly knickers & top hats
Throughout 10 sessions, you’ll learn how to make your chosen garment from scratch, to your own measurements. In the process, we’ll cover how to pick the right fabrics, copy and cut pattern pieces, hand-sewing techniques as well as how to use a sewing machine.
Made, do & mend
This course will teach you how to mend your favourite (read: a bit tired) clothes, as well as how to make them fit like made-to-measure couture pieces! Perfect for vintage lovers and keen anti-wasters. Book 5 or 10 sessions and come with your broken zips, moth-eaten jumpers and baggy dresses, we’ll show you how to make them as good as new.
